Men’s basic T-shirts

There are some things you can never have enough of. Men’s basic T-shirts are one of them. It doesn’t matter how many you have, it’s never enough. That’s because a basic piece is always useful. You can wear it anywhere and it always goes with whatever you’ve got on. Colour is another story. Does this T-shirt go with these trousers? What if I wear it underneath this unbuttoned shirt? Does it go with the tones in this print? The answer in this case is: the more colours, the more likely you are to get it right.
Now it may seem like by saying “men’s basic T-shirt” we’re talking about something simple, just a question of choosing your favourite colour. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. Anyone who’s interested in fashion will tell you that not all basic T-shirts are the same; they don’t all go with everything; they don’t all fit the same; and, of course, they must never be chosen at random as there are many factors to consider before choosing yours.
The first is obvious: the colour. Often, when shopping, all you know is that you need a basic shirt that’ll go with everything. But, have you thought about the main colours in your wardrobe? Do you want it to specifically match one of your latest purchases? Do you want to wear the “it” colour of the season? Ask yourself these questions before selecting the one for you. And, of course, there are some colours that you simply can’t be without. In our opinion, these are white, black, grey and a bright colour. What are yours?
The second thing is the design. Long sleeves? Short sleeves? Sleeveless? Here you’ll have to think about what season you’ll wear it most. And besides that, what effect do you want from your basic T-shirt? Maybe a design that is fitted to your figure to wear under a shirt or sweater. Or you might prefer a loose fit for a surfer look.
What length do you prefer? A waist-length T-shirt or perhaps one with a longline fit, as seen in the most urban trends? You also need to think about the neckline. You can choose round neck or V-neck designs, but you’ll need to know if you want it wide or more fitted.
Lastly, pay attention to the details. Faded, with a pocket, a button neck, turn-up sleeves, etc.
Plus, basic T-shirts will always go with everything as they bring harmony to looks with prints and add a touch of colour or intensity to other outfits. So search here for the trendiest trousers, jeans or Bermuda shorts to create the perfect combination for you.
As you can see, choosing your basic T-shirt is not as simple as it might first seem. Will you be able to decide on yours? see more See less
